It's been a long time coming, but Sonos has finally announced the release of its latest speaker, the Sub Mini.
The Sub Mini is a compact wireless subwoofer built to bring some bass to even the smallest rooms.
With an eye-catching cylindrical design measuring just 30.5 cm by 23cm, the Sub Mini uses space-saving driver technology to help maximise its performance in a small form factor.
It's good news for those already with a Sonos system, as they've announced that the Sub Mini can mix and match with any of Sonos's full-range speakers. This includes the very popular Beam Gen 2 soundbar and the Ray, One, One SL, to name a few.
Connectivity is via Wi-Fi, so the Sub Mini only requires a power cable.
Once it's added to a Sonos ARC or Sonos Beam soundbar, volume changes between the two devices are linked automatically. However, bass level and EQ can be adjusted independently in the Sonos app, which is an excellent feature for those who want to tweak their system.
We think this is an excellent addition to the Sonos lineup and look forward to getting our hands on one and installing them for our customers shortly.
